# One brain. Priced by the humans and agents who use it.
Pricing
Connect your sources. Quelvio reads the relationships between them — who said what, what's current, what's been superseded — and answers with citations. The brain keeps up as your knowledge changes.
All prices exclude applicable taxes. EU B2B reverse-charge VAT applies with a valid VAT ID.

## What is a Knowledge Token?
Knowledge Tokens (`kT, 1 kT = $0.000003`) are the internal unit Quelvio uses to measure compute. You don't transact in kT — you pay in dollars per seat, per pack, per corpus tier. kT are shown alongside prices so you can see what each pack and cap is buying.
- -Ingestion: **One-time** per content piece. Text costs less than audio costs less than video. Your corpus tier covers this.
- -Index: **Daily accrual**. 2.5 kT per chunk per day for ongoing storage & re-enrichment readiness. Bundled into corpus tier.
- -Retrieval: **Per query**. Fast 1,500 kT, Standard 12,500 kT, Deep 25,000 kT. Spent from your daily kT pool; packs and PAYG available for overage.
- -Synthesis: **Per cited answer**. Standard ~10K kT, Premium ~20K kT. Included within Standard and Deep query types respectively.
## Overage — bundles & pay-as-you-go
Bundles are committed and discounted (lowest rate). Pay-as-you-go is metered with no commitment (10-33% above bundle pricing) — off by default with a configurable monthly spend cap.
Prices below are Global. EU and USA are 1.2x.
### Bundles (committed, discounted)
- -Fast bundle — 1.5M kT (≈ 1,000 Fast queries) — $3 ($0.003/query)
- -Standard bundle — 3.75M kT (≈ 300 Standard queries) — $10 ($0.033/query)
- -Deep bundle — 1.1M kT (≈ 44 Deep queries) — $10 ($0.227/query)
### Pay-as-you-go (metered, no commitment)
- -Fast — ~1,500 kT per Fast query — $0.004 (33% more than bundle)
- -Standard — ~12,500 kT per Standard query — $0.040 (20% more than bundle)
- -Deep — ~25,000 kT per Deep query — $0.250 (10% more than bundle)
- -1. How it works. Hit your daily seat cap → buy a bundle (one-click, discount price) or enable PAYG fallback (metered, no commitment). Bundles roll over for 30 days. Enable auto-renew to never run out — bundles auto-purchase when usage hits 80%. Toggle off any time; remaining bundle still usable for 30 days.
- -2. Bill-shock protection. PAYG ships with a default $500/mo spend cap — configurable up to $10,000 self-serve, or higher via support. Customers stay in control.
- -3. Where you buy. Bundles and PAYG are managed in-product — one click from the daily-cap banner or in your team settings. The prices above are your reference catalog.
- -4. Free tier has no overage — hard block at cap preserves the upgrade signal.
## Regions
- -Global (seats 1x) — Optimal price-performance. Routes across the full model menu for the best balance of speed, quality, and cost. The default for Personal accounts; available to Company accounts that have no provider restrictions and want maximum value.
- -US/EU (seats 1.4x) — Region-pinned processing — your data stays in your chosen region (US or EU) and never leaves it. Available to Company accounts only; best for organizations with GDPR data-residency, US data-governance, or provider-restriction policies.

## Questions & answers
### Q. How is pricing calculated for the paid plans?
Paid plans are **per seat, per month**. Team is $10/seat and Growth is $25/seat at Global pricing; you multiply by the number of seats on your workspace. There are no setup fees and no platform fee on top — the seat price is the price.
Pay annually and every paid seat is **15% cheaper**. Enterprise is custom-priced per contract with a 100-seat minimum.
### Q. How are seats counted?
A seat is anyone — or anything — that queries the brain. Every human member is a seat. **On Team and above, AI agents are also seats**: if you connect an agent through MCP that runs its own queries, it consumes a seat the same way a person does. (Agent integration is a paid-tier capability — see the agents Q&A below.)
On Team, Growth, and Enterprise you can add *unlimited* members. You're billed for the seats you've provisioned, not a capped roster. Free is limited to 3 members total.
### Q. How does adding and removing members work?
Add members any time — paid plans have no member ceiling. Each provisioned seat is billed at your plan's per-seat rate.
Paid plans require at least one seat — to drop to zero you cancel the plan instead.
Free workspaces are capped at 3 members. When you need a fourth person, that's the natural moment to move to Team.
### Q. What is a Knowledge Token?
A Knowledge Token (`kT`, where 1 kT = $0.000003) is the internal unit Quelvio uses to measure compute — ingesting a document, running a query, synthesizing an answer.
**You don't transact in kT.** You pay in dollars: per seat, per pack, per corpus tier. kT are shown next to packs and caps so you can see what each one is actually buying. They're a transparency device, not a currency.
### Q. How does the daily kT pool work, and what happens when I run out?
Every seat gets a **daily kT pool** — a single allowance you spend however you want. Queries come in three types and each costs a different amount: **Fast** is light, **Standard** mid-weight, **Deep** the most. Team includes 284,000 kT per seat per day; Growth includes 860,000. It's a fungible pool, not typed buckets — run all Fast, all Deep, or any mix. The pool resets at 00:00 UTC and doesn't roll over.
On **Team and Growth**, running out isn't a wall: you get a warning as you approach it, and at exhaustion you can buy a pack or fall back to pay-as-you-go. On **Free**, the pool (15,000 kT per day, shared across the workspace) is a hard block — it's what keeps Free genuinely free. Free runs Standard queries only; Fast and Deep unlock on Team.
### Q. What's the difference between bundles and pay-as-you-go?
**Bundles** are committed and discounted — you buy a block of capacity up front (for example, a Standard bundle is 3.75M kT, about 300 Standard queries) at the lowest rate. Bundles roll over for 30 days, and you can enable auto-renew so they top up automatically at 80% consumed.
**Pay-as-you-go** is metered with no commitment — you pay per query at a slightly higher rate (10–33% above bundle pricing, depending on query type) only on the days you go over. It's off by default and has a configurable monthly spend cap so there's no bill shock.
Both are managed in-product — one click from the cap banner or your team settings. The prices on this page are your reference catalog. Free has neither; it hard-blocks at the cap instead.
### Q. Which region should I choose — and what does it actually change?
Region is a **data-governance choice**, not just a billing currency. It determines where your retrieval and synthesis actually run.
There are two regions and which ones you can choose depends on your account type. **Personal accounts** (Free) run on Global only. **Company accounts** (Team, Growth, Enterprise) can choose between Global and US/EU.
**Global** routes across the full model menu for the best balance of speed, quality, and cost — best if you have no provider restrictions and want maximum value. **US/EU** keeps all processing on US or EU infrastructure — your data never leaves the region you pick — best for GDPR data-residency, US data-governance, or provider-restriction policies.
US/EU pricing is higher because the infrastructure costs more: seats are 1.4× Global, and corpus, packs, and PAYG are 1.2×.
### Q. Do you use our content to train AI models?
No. Quelvio does not use customer content to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any AI model — neither our own nor those of our subprocessors. This is a contractual commitment, not a configurable setting. Subprocessor agreements (with OpenAI, Anthropic, Voyage AI, and others listed in our privacy policy) explicitly prohibit training on customer queries or content.
Your content stays as a private corpus — indexed for retrieval, never used as training data. This applies identically across all plans, including Free.
### Q. What do I get on the Free plan?
Free gives you a real, working brain: up to 3 members, a 5 GB indexed corpus, a shared 15,000 kT daily pool for **Standard queries** — the cited, synthesized answers that show what Quelvio is. Fast (raw chunks) and Deep (premium synthesis) are paid-tier capabilities. Tenant isolation, encryption at rest, TLS, and MCP integration are on every plan including Free.
There's **no time-limited trial** — Free isn't a countdown, it's a plan you can stay on. It's also the trial: when you hit its limits, that's the signal you're ready for Team.
### Q. How do the corpus tiers work?
Each paid plan includes a default indexed corpus — 50 GB on Team, 200 GB on Growth — and you can configure it upward from the pricing page. The corpus configurator on each plan card shows the ladder: pick the GB tier that fits your knowledge base and the additional monthly cost is added to your seat subscription.
Corpus is sized in GB rather than kT because that's the honest unit for stored content — it's what you can actually estimate against your own document count.
If you need to downgrade your plan but your current corpus exceeds the smaller plan's maximum, you'll be asked to remove content first. We never delete your data automatically as part of a downgrade.
### Q. How do plan changes work?
**Upgrades take effect immediately.** Move from Team to Growth and the new daily pool, the new capabilities, and the new corpus default are all live the same day. The charge for the rest of the current billing period is prorated based on how many days are left.
**Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.** You keep the higher plan's pool, capabilities, and corpus through the period you've paid for; the smaller plan takes over on the next renewal. This protects you from losing capacity in the middle of work you've already committed to.
**Upgrading from Free is a clean start.** Free's daily pool is shared across the whole workspace; paid plans are per seat. When you upgrade, today's Free consumption is discarded — your first day on the paid plan starts with the full, fresh per-seat pool. You don't pay for Free's prior usage twice.
If you're changing plans frequently, repeat changes within a short window may be scheduled to take effect at your next billing period rather than instantly, so your billing stays clean.
